Review

I am a huge fan of vampire stories and this one did not disappoint. The characters were really interesting and the storyline was engaging and kept me guessing. I found myself eager to find out what would happen next in the book and ended up reading it in one sitting. There are a LOT of sex scenes in the book so it is definitely a steamy read.

Dominick and Allegra have an immediate attraction to each other and a really intense relationship. Dominick tall, dark, and handsome. He’s a vampire but not like most. Unlike most of the vampires in the story, he has a heart and tries to act more like humans than others do. Allegra is a erotica writer and doesn’t think much of herself despite her beauty and success as an author. I really liked them as a couple and I think they compliment each other very well. I really wanted to strangle Dominick’s sire, Fabian, a few times.  He seriously had me seeing red a few times during the book. We don’t see much of Dominick’s two brothers but the rest of the characters had personality and I thought they were all well written.

The storyline was a little different from what I have read in the past in these kinds of books so it was a nice change of pace. It kept me engaged and intrigued as to what would happen next. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading Fabian’s story in book 2. I’m going with a 4 out of 5 books on this one.

From my teenage years, all I wanted to do was become a writer one day. Even now as an adult woman with a partner and three children who are not so little anymore, I’ve always lived with my head in the clouds, a dreamer, often amusing myself with my own imagination.

It might have taken me awhile to finally live my dream, but I did it, my first effort to try and join the many talented writers out there who have kept me entertained with their wonderful stories over the years.

I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my partner and three children plus our 6 cats, dog, sheep and cattle.

I’ve had to overcome many emotional obstacles along the way to get to this point and attempting to self publish a book does tend to make a person feel like they’ve thrown themselves in at the deep end of the pool some what, but here’s hoping some of you actually like what I write and save me from drowning in the deep end of the pool as I probably forgot to mention, I can’t swim.
