The characters were entertaining and the story line was full of suspense, romance, and some pretty steamy scenes. It was a great read and it was really easy to pulled into their world. Kat and Dane are immediately attracted to each other when they first meet. Dane is a sexy alpha male who also happens to be the President of the Savage Angels MC and also a successful business owner. He’s trying to clean up the MC and cares about the community. Kat is the lead singer for the rock band The Grinders but after a car accident she doesn’t have the ability to sing like she used to. She struggles to find what to do with herself until she meets Dane. Their personalities compliment each other and there is a whole lot of steamy passion when these to come together. I actually ran the battery down on my e-reader because I didn’t want to interrupt my reading to put it on the charger. Mike and Jenny have a connection from their first encounter but Mike keeps Jenny in the friend zone for quite a while in the beginning. He sexy and sweet but he’s also bossy and gruff. He hides his past which are the cause of his insecurities and less then stellar self-worth. However, Jenny’s sweet disposition, conviction, and loyalty help Mike to come out of that darkness he’s been living in. She really is an awesome person and helps that good side of Mike to shine through as well. He’s helped Jenny to come out of her shell and become more confident in herself. I really like Dahlia. She’s torn between lives and is still trying to figure herself out and heal from the past. She has a great personality and I loved her attitude about her uppity mother. I don’t want to give too much away but I will say that she has some difficult choices to make but can’t fault her for the one that she does. The story kept me on the edge of my seat anticipating what would happen next. There are some great characters as well. The circumstances surrounding their reconnecting and what Danielle has been through the past three years continue to unravel throughout the book but ultimately, their dealing with that horrid foster father. Things quickly pick up where they left off and a whirlwind romance begins again. Blade and Angelina come from two different worlds yet have a lot in common. It is also evident that there will be some pretty steamy bedroom scenes too (okay, maybe the office too). Sinthia has been through a lot and has hardened herself to men. Core is also hard due to his past. They are going to make quite the pair. They are both tough as nails, driven, and willing to do whatever it takes to get to their goals. I really liked Sinthia and even though I didn’t get to see much of Core, I can’t wait to see more. Plus him being a sexy as sin billionaire doesn’t hurt. After reading Covered in Coal, I was eager to find out the next part of the story and Silla didn’t disappoint. There were a ton of twists and turns in the story, some suspense, and mystery.
