It might be safe to say that I loved it more than Inevitable Detour and that is say a lot because I absolutely loved that book. This one was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. It was full of all new twists while also developing the current characters and introducing new ones. And don’t worry there’s plenty of hot in there too. Farren and Essa started their relationship in Inevitable Detour and just when they got to a good place, the unthinkable happens. It drew me in chewed me up, and spit me out raw from the emotion evoked but also happy. Ace and Iris meet when he’s on the run from his life and takes up residence in a trailer that Iris is renting in her small home town of Sarahsville, Ohio. They have a lot in common. Blog Tour: The Australian by Lesley Young

The Australian Crime Royalty Romance, #2 by Lesley Young Charlie Sykes takes everything and everyone at face value—and believes life would be a lot easier if everyone else did, too. Aussie Jace Knight, international hotelier and purported playboy, has never met anyone like the absurdly literal and obliviously beautiful American who applies for his personal assistant position. The trouble is, how do you pursue a woman whose definition of flirting comes straight out of the Merriam-Webster Dictionary? That, and he’s not the only one after Charlie. Seems Mr. Knight might not be a reformed criminal after all. Soon, Charlie’s immersed in a whirlwind of international espionage that takes her from the hip streets of Sydney to the majestic Great Barrier Reef and the wild, desolate outback. A dangerous trap’s being set, but how will Charlie protect herself and prevent a tragic betrayal, when she can’t even sort out what her heart’s telling her? Amazon         This is my first book of Lesley Young’s to read and review and I was definitely impressed. I read the whole thing in one sitting. It drew me in from the very beginning and is a definite page turner. The characters were great (even though Charlie’s literal speech and thought took a little getting used to at first). Jace and Charlie have kind of an instant connection but it’s subtle and I think neither of them really realize what’s going on. Jace is this seriously successful and sexy hotelier and businessman that is a total alpha male. He’s good at being in charge. He’s also very intrigued by Charlie. Charlie is very literal and analytical. She doesn’t do emotions well at all which is why her reactions to Jace surprise her. The way she thinks and talks is a bit strange at Continue Reading →

Review: Sweet by Tammara Webber

Sweet Contours of the Heart, #3 by Tammara Webber A New Adult  Contemporary Romance He’s the love of her life, but he doesn’t know it. She’s his one moment of sacrifice in a lifetime of survival. He was damaged and wild, but resilient. She’s always been obedient. Now she’s restless. Home for the summer between college and med school, Pearl Torres Frank knows two things: Boyce Wynn is the embodiment of everything she should run from, and everything she wants to run to. Rebellious and loud. Unconcerned with society’s opinion of him. Passionate. Strong. Dangerous. And one more trait he hides from everyone but her: Sweet.                             I absolutely loved Easy and Breakable so it was a no brainer when deciding if I wanted to review Sweet.  Even though this is a standalone, the two main characters are from Lucas’ past so you technically know them a little bit if you’ve read Breakable. Tammara Webber is a fantastic writer and she has definitely continued that theme with this book. The story is not only “sweet” but also one about growing up and getting to know your true self. The characters were wonderful and very relatable. I really enjoyed this story. Boyce and Pearl have known each other since they were little kids. When Boyce saves Pearl from drowning, they form a bond for life. No matter what is going on in their lives, they know each other’s true self and give each other the support and protection they both need. Boyce had a crappy childhood. With mother who abandoned her family, and a drunk father, he only had his brother and then Pearl. Sadly, he loses his brother in the war in Afghanistan. All of this really pulled at my heart but it’s Continue Reading →

Release Day Blitz: Hard by Eve Jagger

Hard Sexy Bastard, #1 by Eve Jagger Strong. Arrogant. Hard. Ryder Cole is the King of Atlanta’s nightlife — and the one man who can erase my past. I’m running from secrets that could destroy me and there’s no room in my life for someone like him: too damn cocky, and sexy as hell. I should keep my distance, but smart goes out the window the minute he looks my way. And when he puts his hands on me… A girl could forget her own name. But what happens when the past catches up with me, and all the things I’m hiding from tear our lives apart again? I can’t keep running forever, and Ryder always wins.              I absolutely loved this book. It was full of witty humor, hot men, suspense, and some seriously steamy sex scenes. The characters were hilarious and a great group of friends that surround Ryder and Cassie. Ryder and Cassie have a quite unconventional first meeting. He’s a businessman that also runs a underground fight ring. She the sister of the guy who owes Ryder money. Ryder is totally alpha male and a smart businessman. He’s also sexy as hell. Cassie full of witty comebacks that had me cracking up but she’s also smart and very beautiful. Unfortunately, she’s also running from her past so there’s an element of suspense to this story as well. These two click right away, even if they try to act otherwise in the beginning. They also had a great group of friends around them that were funny in their own right. This story was well laid out and a great read. I devoured it in just a day. The characters were sexy, feisty, and fun. All of the elements came together just the right Continue Reading →

Review: Roxie by Stevie J. Cole

Roxy Pandemic Sorrow, #3 by Stevie J. Cole Standalone in the rock star romance series, Pandemic Sorrow. My life had been no fairy tale. Actually, growing up, it had been something more like a nightmare, which is why I ended up so hard. When you don’t want to hurt having the ability to be numb is your best defense mechanism. And for a long time all I was doing was existing.Jag Steele, the lead singer of the international rock band Pandemic Sorrow, was the epitome of everything I despised: arrogant, entitled, but the thing I hated most about him was that he was an addict. Drugs had been the demon that had ruined everything in my life, and anyone who had a love affair with them pretty much made my stomach turn. It brought up memories I wanted to stay buried. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly a fan of Jag.Funny thing is, people aren’t always who you expect them to be. Never in a million years would I have thought the night I meet Jag would have any significance on the rest of my life, but it did.I found out that sometimes something that screams utter destruction might actually be your saving grace. Some people may say our story is too screwed up to be a romance, but for two broken people, we made the pieces fit together perfectly.      This is the same story as Jag but from Roxy’s POV. There is a lot that you learn about Roxy and why she is the way she is. It really awesome to see things from her POV which made for a more well rounded story. She really is a strong person and I really admire her.Jag and Roxy are definitely a unique couple. They started out basically hating each other (or Continue Reading →

Book Tour: Until July by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Until July Until Her, #1 by Aurora Rose Reynolds This is a standalone and a spin off of the New York Times best selling Until Series. Wes Silver wasn’t looking for love, but when July Mayson literally knocks him on his ass during their first encounter, his world is turned upside down by the quirky blonde, and every moment with her makes him more determined to protect her. July Mayson doesn’t understand the pull she feels toward the bad boy biker Wes Silver, but she knows being with him is like nothing she’s ever felt before. Now all she has to do is tell her overprotective father, Asher Mayson, that she’s found her boom.                        I’m a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds. She writes awesome stories so it’s no surprise at all that I really enjoyed this book. Think of this series as the Until series-next generation. All the characters from the original series are older and grown kids and this series is their stories. I devoured in just a few hours. I laughed, I had a few shocked gasps, and I definitely swooned all over those steamy sex scenes. They will seriously get your blood pumping. Wes and July meet in a bit of an unusual way but I loved it. It was fun and different. When they start seeing each other, its fast and intense. Wes is definitely an alpha male and president of his MC. He’s tattooed, sexy as hell, and knows he wants July as soon as he sees her. July is feisty, funny, loyal, and sweet. She’s a vet so animals are a huge deal to her. There are several outside forces trying to mess with their relationship but they hold on and it was wonderful to watch Continue Reading →

Blog Tour: Unpredictable by Shantel Tessier

Unpredictable by Shantel Tessier An Erotic Romance Released: April 6, 2015 My niche in life is being an asshole. It suits me. I’m that guy who jokes about love and how settling down is overrated. Why would a guy ever fall for one woman when you can have as many as you want? Makes no sense to me. But if being a cop has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable. And that is exactly what Katherine is. The woman makes me question my sanity on a daily basis. Sometimes she makes me want to keep her to myself; other times, she makes me want to jump off a cliff just to get away from her. Yet I still find myself turning into that little pussy I said I’d never be. Showing up on her front door holding flowers, only to have her throw them at me. Calling just to say hello, only for her to press ignore. Yeah, I’ve become a pussy all right. A whipped one at that. At first she was a challenge, but now I don’t like the fact that she is playing hard to get. But when someone comes after me, threatens my job, my life. It’s her that stands by my side. It’s her who has to pay for my sins. And it’s her who I’m threatened to lose. One thing that you need to know about me is that I’ll fight for what I believe in. And I believe in her more than myself. What’s that saying? Boy meets girl and the rest is history…Well, those who fuck with what is mine, will become history.                                  Oh my lord this book is one of my favorites already. Hot sex, two strong personalities, and some Continue Reading →

No more lies, no more tears, and no more holding back what he really wants…                             Joanna Wylde has given us another fantastic MC series! This first book in the new series was gritty, emotional, and seriously sexy.  The characters were fantastic and I loved how there were glimpses of the Reapers MC in it as well. Nina, Kevin, and her neighbors head to the wilderness and fight to survive not only the plague but also hunger, cold, their inner demons…and even each other. Will they survive and, more importantly, will her heart?                             I’m a fan of zombie books and movies as well as a fan of Jade C. Jamison. So, when I saw this book coming out, I was very excited. I was a little hesitant at first because the characters are in their early 40s which is a little older in characters than what I usually read. However, I’m so glad I gave it a chance because it was fantastic. Nina and Kevin knew each other back in high school but due to her Naïveté, Nina didn’t know how to reciprocate Kevin’s advances and he quickly moved on. She spent years pining Continue Reading →
