REVIEW:
Wow! What a heart-wrenching and moving story. Emotions are all over the place. I think this was the first book that I’ve read about the main characters being directly affected by family with a drug addiction. It was hard to read about at some points but so worth it. The characters were well written and the story line drew me in.
Adam and Leah have a connection that most don’t have. They not only have siblings addicted to drugs but also have lost someone close to them. They understand each other on a whole other level. Adam is patient and understanding. He’s sweet to Leah and adores his niece, Dani. Leah is so used to being in control and taking care of herself but easily takes Dani into her life. I really liked both of them and their personalities were wonderful. They complimented each other very well.
The story flowed seamlessly and the scenes transitioned smoothly. I easily read this in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. It evoked a lot of emotion, some good and some not so good. I really enjoyed this book and found it very touching. I highly recommend reading it. 5 out of 5 books!
