I have loved the Lush boys from the beginning so it’s no surprise that I jumped on the chance to read the latest story. I’ve been anxiously waiting to get the scoop on the resident bad boy player, Mike Owens and that sweet country girl Jenny Turner. I was sucked into their story right away and could put the book down. I actually ran the battery down on my e-reader because I didn’t want to interrupt my reading to put it on the charger.
Mike and Jenny have a connection from their first encounter but Mike keeps Jenny in the friend zone for quite a while in the beginning. He sexy and sweet but he’s also bossy and gruff. He hides his past which are the cause of his insecurities and less then stellar self-worth. However, Jenny’s sweet disposition, conviction, and loyalty help Mike to come out of that darkness he’s been living in. She really is an awesome person and helps that good side of Mike to shine through as well. He’s helped Jenny to come out of her shell and become more confident in herself. I absolutely adored these characters just as much as all the others in the Lush series. They get along so well and it’s great to read about.
The story line was intense at times but also had plenty of times that were sexy and fun too. It flowed nicely and made it a really smooth and easy read. I had no problems reading it in an evening. The fantastic characters, wonderful story, and witty banter made this a fantastic story. Now my only question is: When do I get to read Collin’s story? This is a definite 5 out of 5 palm trees!
