Whew! Where’s my fan! This book was scorching, hot, and steamy. However, it also had plenty of emotional drama as well as some kick ass main characters. I had every intention of taking my time reading this book but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Even then, I wanted to blow right into book 2 but had to restrain myself so I could write this review. This is definitely one of my new favorite series.
The relationship between Addison, Talon, and Kyle is new and blossoming throughout this first book. They’re trying to figure it out as they go along and it’s definitely different. Addison hasn’t been with a man in almost 8 years and neither Talon nor Kyle is used to any kind of a romantic relationship. They all have darkness in their pasts and I think that might be partially what draws them to each other. Addison also has a huge capacity for compassion and a drive to take care of others before herself. These three click together in a triad where each seem to bring something unique but crucial to the relationship. I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow in future books.
The story line was packed with erotic moments but also real issues that they have to face (especially being a triad). Things get complicated at times but I loved how they work at it and even though mistakes are made or arguments happen, they’re trying to make it be as successful as possible. The story flowed really well and I found it very easy to immerse myself in their world. This was wonderful book and I can’t wait for more! 5 out of 5 palm trees!!
