Two of my favorite things rolled into one! Kaylee Ryan’s writing and a rock star romance. What’s not to love? Emphatic is a fantastic story about one rock star and an ordinary girl who meet on vacation and think they’ll never see each other again. Oh, how wrong they are. This was a great easy read full of humor, love, hot sex, and a little personal growth.
Logan and Kacen mesh really well together. Plus Logan fits in really well his Kacen’s band. How they come to know each other is a serious case of coincidence, fate, kismet, or whatever you want to call it. The feeling that develop are intense and even though they try to fight it (especially Logan) you can see a gradual progression to their story. Kacen is hella sexy, bossy (in the best way), sweet, and thoughtful when it comes to Logan. Logan is trying to find herself after a horrible relationship of 3 years and pushes against Kacen as much as she can. These two couldn’t be better suited for each other.
This story had a great flow and I found it very easy to get lost in the moment right along with the characters. I’m really hoping this becomes a series and follows the other band members because not only would it be fun to see Logan and Kacen but also get the scoop on the other guys’ romantic interests and how they unfold. This was a wonderful story and I hope to read more. 5 out of 5 palm trees!
