Review
I absolutely loved this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down until I was finished. The characters were well thought out and had dimension. The story was engaging and flowed well. It actually had some suspense in it as well which made for some intense moments.
Despite what happened to them in high school, it doesn’t take long to see that Lucas and Melinda (Lindy) are meant for each other. They “click” as a couple but not just in the passion or romance sense but also as 2 people that have a long lasting friendship and understand each other. Despite Lucas’s mistakes he quickly realized his mistakes and I really grew to like him. It doesn’t hurt that he is seriously sexy with a killer body and tattoos. Did I mention he rides and builds motorcycles? Lindy is sweet and smart but obviously guarded when she sees Lucas for the first time in 4 years. Throughout the story her strength and perseverance was admirable. All of their friends and family were great too. They were all supportive throughout the whole story and especially when things got scary with a crazy ex they were all there to help.
This book was really great to read, even when I was on the edge of my seat anxious to find out how everything turned out. My only comment about anything remotely negative is that the Synopsis doesn’t completely portray what is in this story. With that being said, it was an excellent read and I highly recommend reading it. I’m giving this a 5 out of 5 books!
