There were a LOT of emotions running around during this story and also a lot of ‘mending of hearts’ so to speak. The characters and the story line really came together to tell a great story that drew me in from the very beginning. Walsh and Tammy are not in a great place when the story starts. In fact, they’re in a non-existent place with each other at the beginning of the book. However, over time it was easy to see that they still had a really intense connection with each other. The story line was emotional at times and certainly had some steamy moments as well. I was drawn in to the story from the very first word. Rhys and Allison have an interesting relationship. It made me suspicious of a few characters I had started to question while I was reading Taken and it also filled in some blanks about Grams’ intentions with taking to Kasha before she died. It did answer a few questions about a few other side characters but also left some still unanswered and left some whole new ones. It definitely has spoilers to Taken so even though the events of Marked take place first, I highly recommend reading Taken first. I really hope book 2 comes out soon because these books have managed to leave me intrigued and asking all kinds of questions.
