But when Jimmy pushes her too far and Lena leaves, he realizes that he may just have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.                   Oh man! I have love the men (and women) of Stage Dive from book one and this was no exception. The characters had me laughing so many times and then there were those steamy sex scenes that will really get your blood pumping. I was so engrossed in the story that I devoured it in a few short hours. Jimmy and Lena have a mutual snarky and tolerance of each other when they first meet. Lena is hired to be Jimmy’s sobriety companion and morphs into a bit of an assistant as well. She’s always handled his cold and indifferent attitude with sarcasm and wit. After they have to attend a very close friend’s funeral, things begin to grow to more than that. Due to a lot of psychological damage done my his mom, Jimmy is immature when it comes to handling and understanding feelings. Lena does an excellent job Continue Reading →

Release Day Blitz: Better Left Forgotten by Lisa Helen Gray

Better Left Forgotten Forgotten, #1 by Lisa Helen Gray How far would you go to protect the ones you love? Some things are better left forgotten, but for Caitlyn Michelson forgetting is not something that she can do. After the brutal death of her sister, she packs up her four year old daughter Carrie and moves across the country, all in an attempt to get away from her sister’s killer, Robin Quinton. After blackmailing Robin she believes that she will finally be free to live her life. However Caitlyn was naive to think her threats would work against the man who brutally murdered her sister. It’s only when she meets gorgeous bad boy biker Cage Carter that she finally begins to feel like she is living again. Will lady luck finally be on her side? Or will everything she has be torn away from her?                        What a great intro to the Forgotten series! The characters were entertaining and believable. The story was romantic, suspenseful, and hot! I was seriously on the edge of my seat the whole time. This book will get your blood pumping and your wheels turning. Cage and Caitlyn have that fiery instant connection the first time they meet. Despite Caitlyn trying to keep her distance, Cage won’t let her go and things quickly escalate. Cage is sexy, sweet, protective, and bossy (which drives Caitlyn crazy). Caitlyn has had to take care of herself and her daughter for several years now and they are constantly on the move. She’s strong and feisty. These two kept me entertained with their funny banter and then had me fanning myself with some seriously steamy scenes. They had wonderful personalities and I enjoyed all of their friends as well. This story line was really interesting and had Continue Reading →

Release Day Blitz: Hope Over Fear by J.A. DeRouen

Hope Over Fear Over, #1 Author: J.A. Derouen Today is the day – the day that the man I love marries someone else. I don’t deserve pity or sympathy. I’ve made my bed. I left Mason and ripped his heart to pieces as I ran away. The guilt and sorrow consume me, threatening to choke me everyday. But today is a new beginning. Today is the day I will wake up with a renewed resolve and determination to do better … to be better … to be worthy. My name is Sara Preston, and this is my story about what happens after. Hope Over Fear can be read as a stand alone novel.                               I slide on my jeans and set out to find Sara. When I reach the doorway of the living room, I see her leaning against the kitchen counter, lost in thought. She’s wearing my shirt, and damn if that doesn’t make my dick twitch. She doesn’t see me, so I take this opportunity to drink her in. The sun shines through her mussed wavy brown hair, and the faintest smile is playing on her lips. She lifts her fingers up to her lips and closes her eyes. A soft giggle escapes her, and I’m mesmerized. Watching her in this private moment, I feel it deep in my chest. So deep, I find myself rubbing my heart to ease the pressure. Sara breaks out of her trance and reaches up into the cabinet to retrieve two coffee cups. When she lifts her arms, the bottom of my shirt raises up just enough to reveal a hint of her barely-there panties and the under curve of her delectable ass. God, this girl will be the death of me. I quickly and silently walk Continue Reading →

Amazon: http://amzn.to/1que6Fo iBooks: http://bit.ly/1qrKsUO B&N: http://bit.ly/1qrKxrB Kobo: http://bit.ly/1qrK8p3         I have loved this entire series. I was extremely fortunate back when I was just starting this blog to get the opportunity to review More Than This (back when it had the original cover) and loved immensely. That story has stuck with me and I was so excited to read every book in this series. More than Forever was no exception. These characters have so much personality and feeling that I can easily picture them in my mind. The story easily pulled me in, enticing me to feel every emotion and share in these wonderful characters’ lives. When they first meet, Cameron and Lucy are total opposites (at least in the world of high school). Cameron is into sports and is outgoing. Lucy is a bookworm and shy. I fell in love with these two immediately (although I’ve had a fondness for them since book 1). They have personality and depth. They really come across as people in real life and not just a fictional story. I found myself tearing up over Lucy’s loss and swooning over Cameron’s sweet and caring attitude towards not only Lucy, but also her brothers. Jay McLean has managed, yet again, to take two Continue Reading →
